I should have known when I stated my intention to blog for thirty days it would be just the opposite :) I have had a TON of house stuff going on and many more things I am sure I will share at some point! I am hard at work today (hee hee) at the scrapbook store and thought I would pop in periodically as I get a chance. So who knows, this may take me all day?!
I am saving up a picture and post for Sydney as yesterday was her TENTH birthday. Yes, I said TEN. I cannot believe my beautiful girl is in the double digits. Exciting and sad, all in one.
So here are a few things on my mind lately....
Looking for inspiration. Sam's post was of some help to me. Not to mention the stuff that girl finds. Where do you come up with this stuff Sam? Keep it comin girl!!
I watched Oprah's Big Give last night. Love it already. I would totally go on that show. Love me some Nate too :)
Colton is doing the same. Still waking up several times a night. Still fussy a good portion of the time, if he is not being held :) Should be interesting when Dusty goes back to work. Still wearing us out. Still love him to death!
On a positive note, Audrey is practically potty trained. She has done great. Next step, trying underwear at bedtime. She wakes up dry most of the time. So I guess we just have to jump into this one....
Is this totally random stuff or what? Told you I was at work.
The kiddos are needing shoes. You all know what I am talking about. Goodbye winter, hello spring! Sydney especially, my little fashionista needs to feel inspired! On that note, I LOVE that she is so in to fashion. The best part is seeing how passionate she is. NOTE: Reminder to self when it is ten minutes before she leaves for school and she is upset about her shoe selection :)
I have to share a funny little story about Gracie....so a while back I think I posted a story about Gracie and her teacher from children's church. Do you remember? Well, it just so happens this same teacher was teaching when Gracie gave her precious little prayer request.....
"please pray for the bleeding owies on my sister's bottom".
WHAT?! Yep. She really said that. She really wanted everyone to pray because it hurts her sister so badly. Good thing her sister is only three or there might be a problem!! Can you imagine what the children's church teacher must think of my sweet little Gracie and her parents?! Just gotta laugh about that. It reminds me of when she told her teacher at school that Colton has a seeing eye dog. Um, no. Don't think so. But great thinking there missy!! My kids definitely don't lack in the imagination department.
A few weeks ago I put Sydney into an acting/drama class. A local company who does a great job at putting on plays, etc. They have practice for an hour and a half every week. Sydney got the part of red riding hood in the play (not the three little pigs) and has to take a day off of school to go around to all of the elementary schools in town. Isn't that cool? I think so. She really thinks so. She will be great at it!
Frustrated with my skin lately. I have had problems off and on for awhile now with breaking out. I have very sensitive skin and VERY dry. So I am trying Bare Minerals. I tried it once (my cousin Lindsey wears it) and really liked it. It should be here this week. We'll see....
I was looking through pictures this weekend and can't believe how many different hairstyles and colors I have had. Made me laugh. Which girl did you fall in love with Dusty? The long hair, the mid-length, the short, blonde, platinum, medium blonde, dark brown?! Really, how many different ones can you have. My kids are going to look back on pictures and think I was crazy. I haven't been red yet. Don't worry honey, I don't think I would make a good redhead. But I am lovin my short hair!!
Wearing a dress to work today. Feels good. I love being a woman. Wanting some fun, new dresses/skirts and jewelry for spring. It is never ending it seems....how is it that every season it seems I have no clothes? Maybe I just get bored...... :)
A lady just came in and blew one hundred bucks. Everything she wanted went in the basket. LOTS of paper. Fun helping people spend their money!
Wanting to make a recipe binder. I need to go buy a white binder and get it started. Never gonna happen unless I make a point to go get the binder. I think I will get the kind with the clear front and that way I can make a cover. Kwim?
Speaking of cooking, I WANT an apron from Kelly's friend Andrea. I would love to get the girls one too. She has a new cute little girls apron. I want this apron. I want to get some cute ones for the girls too.
Listening to Gone by Switchfoot. Awesome reminder that life is good. Today is not over..... :)
