HOME

That is my word for 2007.  It means several things to me....

home is...

• the feeling you have when you know you are surrounded by people who love you and you choose to be with them
• you are truly at peace with where you are, you are at "home" in your heart
• a place people want to be, are drawn to
• where you join as a family and no matter what has happened on the outside, you are safe inside
• irreplaceable memories
• true comfort in every way
• your heart and soul poured into it to make it what it is
• no matter how far away you go, you always long to come home

I feel so much about this word.  Yes, it means alot to me considering we are going to be building a house this year, but it will just be a house.  We (my family) will make it a home.  I remember packing before I got married and feeling so excited but a part of me was sad.  I knew I would be leaving home and never coming back in that way again.  It was my first experience really knowing what home meant.  I want to create a home my children love coming home to.  It also is a feeling I relate to alot of other things.  You know when you go on a trip and come home and even though you had fun on your trip, you love the feeling of just being home?  I want to feel that way with myself.  With decisions I make.  In my marriage.  Raising my children.  Others to feel it when they are around me and in my home.

Home.
