Childhood memories

I know, I have been a VERY bad girl.  A very busy bad girl :)  Well first off, I appreciate all the prayers for my family.  Audrey is doing well and actually goes to the doctor tomorrow for a checkup.  She is back to her little two-year-old self!! 

I was thinking the other day about how I used to come home from school and get a good snack and just hang out for a little while.  (actually I would watch soap operas but don't tell my mom :)  So today after I picked Syd up from school I made the girls hot cocoa with tons of mini marshmallows and fresh cookies I had just baked.  I set them up at the coffee table and we sat and watched Elf.  Gracie has never seen it before and she was glued to the tv.  Too funny to see her reaction and Audrey mimicking her laughing.  I grabbed my camera (while I was nursing) and took a few pictures.  So needless to say, I didn't get the best pics but they captured what I wanted.  A sweet memory with my kids.  I have a new goal I set for myself which is to create fun, happy memories with my kids.

Sydney wanted every last drop!  I caught this picture when she didn't know I was taking it.  She is not faking this one ;)

This is the face Audrey gave me when momma said no more cookies!!

This is a classic Gracie picture because she is quite the mess maker and she loves her chocolate.  She wanted to make sure she enjoyed all of it, even if it was with her hands!!

Then there is our little man who got to sit and cuddle with mommy for a few minutes... I love this picture!  I will try to post some more pictures of him soon.  He is changing so much.  He is such a joy!!

Ok.  Sam did an EXCELLENT job.  I am going to hire her to take some pictures of my other kids.  Then I can do a gallery wall of my kids at my new house!  So let Sam know how much you like her pics......

By the way......

I am hoping Sam will be able to take some pictures of Colton tomorrow morning (hint, hint) for me.  So I haven't posted any pictures and I was going to just wait because if she takes some tomorrow I will post those.  If not, I promise I will post some other ones.  Sorry it has taken me so long!!  I still need to have Jen show me how to do it the quicker, easier way too!

Just what I needed

I got up this morning, began my breakfast and sat down at my computer for a few minutes before I have to get the girls up and going.  I read some blogs and ran across this one that felt like a gift.  I know God is here for me always, but am I always leaning on him when I need him?  My answer would be no.  Sometimes I am not even sure why I choose to try to do it on my own, maybe it is such a small thing I don't think its that important or I want complete control of the situation (or so I think).  I loved Jen's post about her new Bible study.  I know that I was a little emotional after having the baby and that did not help, but I really want to enjoy this time with Colton when he is so little and not stress about the "inevitable" life happenings.  I have repeated in my head - Be anxious for nothing.  Be prayerful about everything.  I seem to find little things that work for me in reminding me where I need to be.  I am so thankful that I am not alone.  God always has ways of showing you that you can handle it and He is there for you.  I prayed last night that I would wake up renewed and first thing give any burdens I might have to Him.  And he again supplied my need.  A reminder and encouragement at the same time.  I am so blessed.  Here are a few things I am thankful for this morning....

• the little newborn smell of a baby (baby sweat as Chrisanna would call it)
• Gracie raising her eyebrows as she enjoys her cinnamon roll oatmeal
• dishes already done by hubby last night (even the ones that didn't fit in the dishwasher he washed by hand)  Thanks baby!
• a sense of calmness
• candles, I LOVE candles

I am so in love

I am sorry it has taken soo long.  I just have been busy trying to get into a routine and any extra time I have had, I have tried to take a few minutes to myself.  I have not even been on the computer much!!  I thought I better post some more pictures because before long I will have to post more.  He has changed so much.  Every day he changes!  So I thought I would add an album to show him off and that way I can just add to that.  I want to try to get an album going for each of the kids.  I need to show them off too!  If I don't get the album posted tonight I will tomorrow because I think there is a quicker way to do it and I might wait and ask Jen how :)  He has done really well sleeping and eating so that has been a blessing.  And my family, they have been wonderful helping me.  I don't know what I would do without them.  So thank you to everyone who brought meals, helped me with my kids, called just to see how we were doing, brought me a coffee or came by to see us.  I really appreciate it and we feel truly blessed.  So here is a picture to hold you over until tomorrow.....
