Count your blessings

A new addition to our family, well two actually!

So I was super spoiled this weekend.  First I was at Costco and noticed the Canon Rebel was on clearance.  The display model was for sale and it was one hundred dollars less than I could have gotten it with the rebate!!  I was soo excited.  I have been wanting this camera because my camera takes blurry pictures (too often) and I wanted it before the baby came!!  So here it is.....

Then my sweet husband called me on Saturday and informed me he bought me a new.......suburban!!  I am so beyond thrilled about it.  It is so nice and we all fit comfortably in it!!  I have been so tired of being cramped up in my jeep that I am very thankful for all the room.  So here she is....

It is really clean and I am sure it will stay that way with four kids :)

Normal Friday routine

Today is going to be a typical Friday for me.  I run errands such as pick up checks, go to the bank, make a costco run and anything else I feel in the mood to do!  I love Fridays.  This weekend is our last weekend before school starts so we have a few more things going on.  I would like to have things ready for them to take all their "stuff" to school and get all the laundry caught up. 

In other news, I found out yesterday that I am anemic.  Whew!  Now I know I am not just a big baby.  I was beginning to wonder.  So I will start taking my supplement and hopefully I will start noticing an improvement in how I feel.  That would be great.  You know I only have nine weeks left?  I am starting to get really excited and nervous at the same time.  I feel like I am not ready so that makes me feel a little bit anxious :)

Also, I thought it would be a great day for another RAK.  It has been awhile and this time I promise to get it out right away!!  I will send it out this weekend and just a little hint, it does involve some scrappin' motivation!!  Good luck.

How many light bulbs do I have in my house?  I mean light bulbs, not light fixtures.  Hope this is not confusing.  First one to guess the correct amount wins and you cannot post guesses two times in a row.

Exciting but not...

I am excited for the girls to start school and I'm not.  Does this make sense?  I was just talking to Jen about this.  I look forward to parts of it and other parts I just dread.  It is going to be great for them and I know they will love it, at least in the beginning.  Hopefully tomorrow we get Sydney's class list in the mail and all the information we need for Gracie's class too!  I have some plans for when they are in school so hopefully I will be able to accomplish a few of them before the baby comes.  Such as actually scrapbooking!!!  I would at least like to get back into the groove of it.  It has been so long it might take a few layouts to get my creative juices flowing again.  I am taking the girls to get their hair trimmed tomorrow before school starts.  They are very excited.  So I will take some before and after pictures to post tomorrow.  Tomorrow we also have a swimming get together, my house gets cleaned and Gracie is going to spend some girl time with nana and Abby.  We better get in these long fun filled days because soon it will be back to a more structured day!!  Hope everyone is enjoying the little bit of summer vacation we have left!!   

No pressure days

I have had the best days with my girls this week.  We have just hung around the house and I have actually gotten a few projects done!  It has been no pressure and my kids have been healthy!  I am VERY thankful for that.  I really have tried to make an effort to just relax this week because in a matter of a few weeks, they will BOTH be in school.  I also had a doctor's appointment yesterday and have ten weeks to go!!  Woo hoo!  I am a little slow these days and have a waddle that I cannot control.  But hey, I guess that is what happens after your body has done this for the fourth time!!  So after talking about my appointment with Dusty it brought up the topic of names.  Yes, we are talking about it!!  But no final decision yet.  It is weird because with my other ones, I just knew.  This time around I don't.  I don't know, maybe this time I will have to actually see the baby to know.  Strange huh??  I am hoping to post a picture later but I am going to make a new dessert tonight too.  I am thrilled beyond thrilled about this.  I have not baked in well, months I guess.  I miss cooking and baking.  It is a toffee gooey butter cake, sounds good doesn't it??  Well, I better figure out lunch and get that started so I will write more later hopefully after enjoying a piece of toffee gooey butter cake!!   

Love them deals

It has been awhile since I blogged!  I of course have no great excuse other than being a little unmotivated and tired because of my ever growing belly :)  I did get quite a few things done this week and weekend and that feels good.  We got my car completely cleaned out and ready to put up for sale, got our house stuff figured out (plans, land, et cetera) that has taken us waaay too long and of course the most important.....shopped!  Jen helped me find some great deals for our new baby boy and I also found some things for the girls.  New sheet sets, a new rug and a few towels for the bathroom to get me by until the new house and the cutest coat for Syd and vest for Gracie.  Oh, and I cannot forget the awesome deals I got at Costco!  I got Gracie the cutest jeans ever at Costco (Levi's) for 9.99!  What a score!  So my weekend was good and I at least feel like we accomplished some stuff.  As Martha would say, that is a good thing!!

Monday, monday

We had a great weekend just hanging out with the girls this weekend.  It was very relaxing and fun.  We took the girls to the bookstore and they all got a new book, played outside, et cetera.  We also had a great church service on Sunday which I really enjoyed.  It really spoke to me.  The part that really struck me was when our pastor was talking about our spiritual growth.  It made me really stop and think if I feel like I am growing.  I need to be in His word more and I want my girls to see that too.  It made me realize how much I miss my Bible study!!  I guess I need to get one to get me through the rest of the summer :)  Anyways, just some thoughts that were on my mind this morning.  I better go get some stuff done because I have a baby with a fever and you never know how your day will go......

do things that I have been wanting to do

have more patience with my girls

try to do something with the girls, JUST for them

relax and take a deep breath

be thankful we are healthy

Happy Birthday to my baby!!

Audrey Faith Brownell is now officially two years old!!  She is a sweet, lovable, brown eyed beauty that we are so thankful God gave to us.  I can't believe it has been two years already.  She is even starting to act like a true two year old :)  She is doing many new things lately and one being turning her head practically sideways when you try to take a picture.  It is her signature pose I guess.  She is saying some new words, eating new foods and getting in some more teeth!!  Here are a few pictures to show you our "precious" new two year old!!
